Three policemen and two dacoits were killed in a shootout here on Tuesday.
As per details, following a tip-off, the Saddr Police cordoned off the Jhok Rohael area whereupon the dacoits opened firing on the police personnel. Resultantly two policemen - Sub-Inspector namely Irshad and another Mujtaba died on the spot while one more constable of Elite Force was also martyred.
Besides, one more policeman sustained severe injuries. In the meanwhile, the police retaliated and killed two dacoits. Later on, additional force was called in to bring the situation under control.
The police removed the injured policeman to hospital.
