I traveled by Shaheen Airways from Dubai to Islamabad on October 2nd. The estimated time of departure was given as 3 a.m., which is inconvenient, but in the hope of reaching home for Eid, I took the flight. Unfortunately when I reached the airport, I learn that the flight has been delayed by an hour. This happened once again and finally the flight departed at 5:30 a.m. As if this wasn't enough, I and 27 other passengers did not find their luggage on arrival. The world over airfares are very high but Pakistani Airlines are very expensive. We paid an exorbitant amount to reach home in time for Eid, but the airline seems to be only interested in making money and not giving the services for which they are paid. They made no effort to ensure that our luggage arrived the next day (Friday), despite there being a flight from Abu Dhabi. This pathetic attitude from Pakistani businesses is why, those who can afford to, choose to pay for international services and not local.
