KARACHI (PR):  For more than two decades now, KWSA (Karachi Women’s Swimming Association) has been organizing the “Palmolive Sindh Women’s Swimming Championship” with Palmolive as the main sponsor of the event. It aims to nurture the female swimmers of Pakistan and lead them to elite international swimming arena and competitions.
The success can be gauged by the fact that these championships have shaped these talented sportswomen into excelling even more and has enabled them to haul the maximum number of medals for Pakistan in the South Asian Games, South Asian Swimming Championship & the Islamic Women’s Games.
Palmolive, a socially responsible brand which strongly believes in motivating and elevating the morale of the women of Pakistan to reach new heights, has played an integral role by its continued support and effort in sponsoring these championships for more than 20 years. This auspicious 22nd Palmolive Sindh Women’s Swimming Championship is being held at  Karachi Gymkhana, on the 11th and 12th October, 2014. This competition is open across Sindh to female participants. Age groups being contested this year are: 8 and under, 9-10 years, 11-12 years, 13-14 years, 15-16 years and ‘open age’. The many prestigious schools and clubs participating in this year’s championship include Karachi Grammar School, City School, DHA O & A Levels, Links, CAS, Defence Club, Karachi Club, Karachi Gymkhana,to name a few, and will be challenging last years’s champion Karachi Grammar School.  The  swimming events  will include all FINA official swim strokes and events . The Chief Guest of the Opening Ceremony will be Mrs. Rahim, wife of the President of Karachi Gymkhana. The event will commence at 8:30 am on Saturday, 11th October, 2014. The swimming events will be witnessed by females only.  The medal presentation ceremony will take place on Sunday, 12th  October, 2014 at 5:00 pm, and Ms. Musharaf Hai, CEO L’Oreal Pakistan, will be the Chief Guest  at the occasion.
The Closing Ceremony is open to all.
