Govt committed to quality healthcare, says Mamnoon

Islamabad - President Mamnoon Hussain has said the government is committed to provide quality healthcare to the people.
He said this while talking to Chairman Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA) Medical Corps, Dr Asif Riaz Qadeer here yesterday.
The President lauded the philanthropist activities of APPNA during earthquake and floods in Pakistan and during the recent heat wave crisis in Karachi and appreciated the services of APPNA members for teaching young doctors, medical students and scientists engaged in cutting edge research and novel innovations.
The President suggested that APPNA may undertake to train nursing staff from leading hospitals in Pakistan in post surgery care to further improve the healthcare standards in the country. He assured his full support and best wishes to APPNA in undertaking healthcare projects in Pakistan.
Separately, talking to Pakistan’s ambassador-designate to Morocco, Nadir Chaudhri, who also called on him at Aiwan-e-Sadr, today, the President emphasized the great importance Pakistan attaches to its relations with Morocco noting that both countries enjoy longstanding fraternal relations.
Highlighting the government’s vision to diversify and strengthen relations with countries of the African continent, the President urged that efforts should also be made for enhancing Pakistan’s relations with the other North African countries. The President called for expanding volume of trade with Morocco in various areas of mutual benefit in order to realize the true trade potential between the two countries. He wished the ambassador-designate success in his new assignment.
