MIRPUR (AJK)-The Azad Jammu & Kashmir cabinet has completely rejected the Indian claims of carrying out surgical strikes at the AJK side of the Line of Control (LoC).

However, the cabinet strongly condemned the continued Indian brutalities in Held Kashmir and unprovoked aggression on LoC. It met at the PM Secretariat in the capital town with Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan in the chair.

Through various unanimously resolutions, the cabinet stated the Indian Occupation forces had resorted to unprovoked firing on the LoC in complete violation of India’s commitment and international law. The cabinet condemned the recent provocative attacks by Indian Army at LoC.

It paid rich tributes to the courage and braveness of Pakistan Army. It praised the brave and valiant Jawans of the armed forces of Pakistan for their befitting response to the Indian aggression.

In another resolution, it said that Indian leaders never accepted the creation of Pakistan and soon after its independence, the Indian forces occupied Kashmir, where the Muslims were and are in majority. And now they are defying the UN resolutions, instead of giving right ot self-determination to the Kashmiris, it said. India is resorting to terrorism against Pakistan thus the world community should take notice of India’s belligerence, it demanded.

The cabinet said it believed that India’s recent attack was on the integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan, therefore, the cabinet strongly condemns this barbarism. Another resolution states India’s aggression aims at distracting attention from its atrocities in Indian-Held Kashmir.

The cabinet said that the Indian aggression poses a serious threat to the regional peace and security, the leadership and people of Pakistan are united in their resolve to counter any Indian aggressive. The cabinet called on the international community and the United Nations to take immediate note of the Indian aggression in occupied Kashmir.

The resolution also paid tributes to soldiers who have lost their lives in incidents along the LoC while extending support to the armed forces. It reiterated resolve of the AJK government to defend the motherland at all costs. The cabinet said India is creating artificial tension in its attempt to divert attention of the world from its atrocities against Kashmiris. It said Pakistan’s defence is in strong hands and the country would continue to raise voice for the rights of Kashmiris. its members jointly offered Fateha for departed soul of Pak Army’s martyrs. It appreciated Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for holding all parties conference in Islamabad in which all political leadership was on the same page against Indian atrocities in occupied State and expressed solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir.

The Cabinet hailed PM Nawaz Sharif ‘s speech at UN and said Nawaz Sharif proved to be a “true spokesperson of the oppressed Kashmiris” by highlighting their plight before the world community.

The cabinet appreciated Army Chief General Raheel’s courageous statement on Uri attack as he had said that Pakistan’s armed forces have the capacity to counter all threat, and supported freedom struggle of Kashmiris against Indian forces.

The cabinet posed full confidence in Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider’s leadership and assured that cabinet will continue backing him for highlighting Kashmir issue, ensuring good governance and development of liberated area.

It appreciated the efforts of federal government for approval of building new hospitals in AJK; with the setting up of these hospitals, issues related to health would resolve and people of different districts will enjoy quality health facilities at their door steps.

Earlier, addressing the Cabinet meeting, the prime minister said that his government would continue to make efforts for betterment of common people and resolve their problems immediately. He said India can’t suppress Kashmiris with guns. “We will continue our struggle for right to self-determination in accordance with UN resolutions,” he said.

Meanwhile, the cabinet approved the “Enforcement of AJ&K Public Procurement Regularity Authority Ordinance 2016” and University of Kotli Azad Jammu and Kashmir Amended Ordinance 2016. The cabinet cancelled the allotment of Staff Colony Mirpur.

The cabinet, for provision of better facilities in private and public transport, directed to formulate recommendations. It also reviewed the law and order situation in AJK and expressed satisfaction on it.
