LARKANA - As many as 100 children of gastro patients were admitted in Chandka Medical Children Hospital Unit on Tuesday. According to reports, total of 160 children shifted in the CMC children ward during last two days and they were reported gastroenteritis in the different vicinities of Larkana including Hyderi Muhalla, Allah Abad, Khuda Abad, Bhains Colony, Nazar Muhalla, Mirokhan Road Gharib Abad, Lahori Muhalla due to unhygienic environment and sewerage water and other problems in the areas. The sources informed that that the municipal administration have failed to combat the spray and other cleanliness measure in Larkana city, resulted gastro and other contact viral deceases have been spread all over, despite the various protest demos and strikes by the citizens. On the occasion, Medical Superintendent CMC Dr Zulfikar Ali Sial has said that the hospital administration has 200 bed vacancies as they shifted children to the surgery and other units as the children patients increased due to the centre hospital unit in lower Sindh. He said the number of children have been discharged and admitted as per routine way, but we are prepared to face any emergency, he said. He advised the people especially living in low laying areas to take precautionary measures to remain safe from these viral diseases.
