LAHORE - The PPPs Parliamentary Party in Punjab Assembly, which met here on Tuesday at 90-Shahra-e-Quaid-e-Azam, paid rich tributes to party Co-Chairman, Asif Ali Zardari for his what it called outstanding performance during one year in office, while Punjab Minister for Labour, Ahshraf Sohna on this occasion said that those who were product of dictatorship should not dictate PPP for trail of a dictator. Addressing the meeting, Sohna said that PPP would decide when to initiate trial of Pervez Musharraf. In an implicit reference to PML-N, the minister wondered that product of dictatorship was trying to dictate PPP about trial of former dictator. Its PPP that would decide the timings to invoke articles-6 against the dictator, he observed. The PPP minister also called upon Chief Justice of Pakistan, Iftikhar Muhammad Ch to reopen the case of Z.A Bhutto and order flogging on grave the dictator who hanged an elected prime minister after dismantling his government. . Senior Provincial Minister Raja Riaz Ahmad said that President Asif Ali Zardari courageously faced all challenges facing the country during first year of his Presidentship, and like in the past he was once again boldly implementing his slogan (Pakistan Khapay). He said that President Asif Ali Zardari was struggling day and night for materializing the great purpose for which Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto sacrificed her life, He said that PPP had always sacrificed lives for strengthening the party and restoration of democracy in the country. He said that the efforts of Co-Chairman of PPP, Asif Ali Zardari to bring Pakistan out of difficult period of the history were no secret. Provincial Ministers, Tanvir Ashraf Kaira, Farooq Yousf Ghurki, Haji Muhammad Ishaq, Mohammad Ashraf Sohna, Dr. Tanvir ul Islam, PPP MPAs, lady MPAs and a large number of party office-bearers attended the meeting. Former president PPP Punjab and MPA, Mian Qasim Zia were also present on this occasion. Addressing the meeting, Finance Minister Tanvir Ashraf Kaira congratulated Asif Ali Zardari for successfully introducing the political and financial policies. He said that due to comprehensive strategy of President and Prime Minister, the foreign exchange reserves had increased from four billion dollars to fourteen billion dollars. Senior Provincial Minister and parliamentary leader of PPP Raja Riaz Ahmad presented two resolutions lauding services of President Asif Ali Zardari for restoring the image of the country in the comity of nations through his successful foreign policy. MPAs unanimously approved the resolutions presented by Senior Minister by raising their hands. Fateha was also offered for the departed soul of Benazir Bhutto.
