LAHORE -An unidentified minor girl and a boy, apparently seemed to be sister and brother, were found murdered near Aitchison College in Racecourse police limits here on Tuesday. The girl was found dead with serious head injuries while the boy with a bullet injury in the lower part of his body. From the body appearance, both are seemed to be members of a poor family, the police investigators said. The unidentified criminals might have kidnapped them for ransom and later killed them for not getting money, the police officers believed. They said that efforts are being made for the identification of the both minors but to no avail so far. The police officers could not reach a clue to resolve the mystery of double murder incident. This incident has created panic among the people of the locality from where the dead bodies of two minors were found. Superintendent Police (SP) Operations Civil Lines Division Sohail Akhtar Sukhera said that Tiger Squad of Racecourse police was patrolling in the area when they spotted dead body of a minor boy lying some 100 yards away from the Aitchison College. During examination of the body, policemen found a bullet wound in the lower part of the deceased. They immediately informed the Racecourse police about the incident and shifted the dead body of the boy to the City Morgue for autopsy. A team of senior police officers reached the site to further investigate the incident where they spotted another dead body of a minor girl floating in the open drain some yards away from the college. The body was removed from the drain and during examination, the police found critical head injuries showing that the deceased girl was brutally murdered by the unidentified criminals. The police officers later took round of the area expecting another body but found nothing. The SP said that both the minor girl and boy seemed to be members of a poor family and residents of out of the City. He said an emergency message was radioed on the police 15 to collect information regarding registration of any case of two minors abduction. But according to the information the police had got from all the law enforcement agencies concerned no such case was traced in any police station of the City so far, he added. When contacted SHO Racecourse Police Station Javed Irshad claimed that the minors might be murdered over a family dispute as they belonged to a poor family and kidnapping for ransom cases usually relate to the rich families. He said that they were killed in any other part of the city but their bodies were thrown in near the Aitchison College on The Mall. He said a family from Chinot visited the dead house of the City on getting information about the murder of a minor girl and a boy but they did not recognize them. They said family was also searching for their two minors who had left their residence a couple of weeks back but did not return home. The SHO said that a case has been registered against the unidentified killers of the deceased with no arrest so far.
