The security forces killed seven militants in the search and clearance operations in Swat and Malakand during last 24 hours. In operations 19 militants were arrested while 11 laid down arms before the troops. A soldier was martyred and two injured in clashes with the militants, Army spokesman said. In a gunbattle between militants and security men near Malam Jabba seven militants were killed and a soldier was martyred, while two others injured, the spokesman said. In Shahdand Bandi and Sarsani 11 militants surrendered before the forces, while 11 miscreants were arrested from Nalkot, Bagh Dherri and Rahatkot. A local Jirga handed over a militant to security forces near Martong.
