LAHORE – The Judicial Activism Panel (JAP) has served a legal notice on the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) for its failure to control private medical institutions minting millions of rupees from students in the name of tuition and admission fee.

JAP Chairman Advocate Muhammad Azhar Siddique has said in a legal notice that the PMDC is failing to discharge it duty of keeping check and balance over the performance of private medical colleges.

Students were being deprived of their fundamental right of education. Through the legal notice to PMDC, the students asked a question that who had authorized these institutions to charge such huge fees.
