A SOUTH African artist has created an astonishing range of highly-detailed animals using the ancient Japanese art of origami . Quentin Trollip has published several books showcasing his skills in the intricate discipline. Trollip began folding paper animals at the age of 10 after buying a book by famous origamist Robert Harbin. In 1997, he began designing and diagramming his own original designs, and has developed his own unique style of designing and folding animals from a single uncut square of paper. Trollip’s love of nature has meant his preference is for designing origami animals, and his creations show the subjects in specific postures.                                                                –MO
