A SOUTH African artist has created an astonishing range of highly-detailed animals using the ancient Japanese art of origami. Quentin Trollip has published several books showcasing his skills in the intricate discipline. Trollip began folding paper animals at the age of 10 after buying a book by famous origamist Robert Harbin. In 1997, he began designing and diagramming his own original designs, and has developed his own unique style of designing and folding animals from a single uncut square of paper. Trollip’s love of nature has meant his preference is for designing origami animals, and his creations show the subjects in specific postures.                                                                –MO
