RAWALPINDI - Students of Divisional Public School (DPS) and their parents have expressed grave concern over enormous increase in the fees by the administration. “Unilateral increase of fee ranging between 35 to 40 percent by the school management is but an anti education move. This step will have negative repercussions, as the talented students would be forced to leave the school,” said Ghulam Ali, a government employee. Quality education is a thing next to nil in the country. Wherever it is available, the poor parents cannot send their sons to attain knowledge as the fee are skyrocketing therein. The divisional public school example is before us that the management has jacked up fee to such an extent that we are forced to pull out our sons from there, said a group of parents. Admission fee, tuition fee and examination charges have been raised by 35 to 40 percent, which are beyond our financial approach, complained parents’ council. The citizens demanded immediate withdrawal of torturous hike in the fee otherwise they will stage protest demonstration.
