LAHORE – Additional District and Sessions Judge Abdul Sattar Langah on Saturday extended until Monday (tomorrow) the interim bail of three doctors accused of committing criminal negligence by removing drip of an infant Fahad at Mayo Hospital that caused his death during the Young Doctors Association strike.

The court directed the investigation officer of the case to submit complete investigation report on the next hearing; and extended the bail of Dr Matloob Ahmad, Dr Usman and Dr Hannan.

The counsel for the accused doctors had earlier informed the court that their clients were not involved in the murder of the child and their names were implicated by the government for taking part in the young doctors’ strike. The police, the counsel said, had registered a fake case against the doctors.
