LAKKI MARWAT - The management of a cement factory donated a consignment of library books to Government Higher Secondary School Darra Pezu to mark World Literacy Day.

Principal Abdul Qadeer received the books from Lucky Cement Factory Deputy General Manager Muhammad Tariq in a gracious ceremony held in the premises of the school the other day. Tariq said that the provision of library books would help the students enhance their knowledge and divert their attention towards reading books. Underlining the need for making students book friendly, he said that the management of the factory would spend over Rs 3 million on the rehabilitation of Darra Pezu Higher Secondary School. Under the project, he added, additional classrooms and group latrines would be built, besides a pressure pump would also be installed in the school.

He told that the school would also be equipped with multimedia facility and furniture so that the teachers and students could use latest and modern technologies in the teaching and learning activities.
