CHARSADDA:  President Awami National Party Asfandyar Wali said on Monday that no one can get resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and strongly criticized PTI Chief Imran Khan for bringing people on the roads against alleged rigging in the last general election after one and half year.

Addressing a workers' convention here, he said "It is regretful that Imran Khan realized about rigging in general elections after one and a half year" he said, adding, in politics, timing of the decision matters.

Without naming Ch. Shujaat Hussain, ANP President said, in a bid to settle score with the PM, he (Ch. Shujaat Hussain) was inviting the army to take over, but declared in clear terms that no one get resignation from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif come what may.

Criticizing PTI, Asfnadyar Wali said how is it possible that rigging took place in entire country except Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa where Imran Khan's party secured maximum seats.

The ANP President said that KP Chief Minister along with cabinet member was attending Dharna daily in Islamabad with full protocol while the IDPs of NWA were passing through worst time and there was no one in the provincial government to look after them. Thousands of IDPs have been left in the lurch by the KP government, he added.

He reiterated that ANP was in the frontline in the war being fought for the supremacy of parliament, constitution and democracy. Late Khan Abdul Wali Khan, he said he had inked the 1973 constitution despite reservations but these apprehensions were removed through the 18th amendment.

He said today some forces were trying to tamper the 1973 constitution and 18th amendment, but warned that elements engaged in these conspiracies would pay the price for it. Referring to veteran politician Begum Nasim Wali, he said she had formed a separate party after not being given ticket for the Senate. He claimed that her party would meet its logical end. –APP
