LAHORE - Lahore Lions kabaddi team, who toppled Yo Yo Tigers, returned home on Monday. The Sports Board Punjab (SBP) officials received the team here at the Wahga Border. A large number of Kabaddi enthusiasts were also present on the occasion to accord warm welcome to the team. The Lahore boys handed a shocking 69-59 defeat to strong Yo Yo Tigers Kabaddi team, owned by Indian singer Yo Yo Honey Singh, in the third phase match of World Kabaddi League in Ludhiana. Lahore Lions have so far featured in five matches of the WKL and returned successful on four occasions. Lahore Lions and Indian actor Akshay Kumar’s Khalsa Warriors both have won four matches each but the latter topped the points table with nine points while the former is placed second with eight points. –Staff Reporter
