It has been 68 years since Pakistan was born, and we still haven’t set our priorities straight. There is a complete disregard for systems of basic necessities, for example, a proper drainage system. Citizens of Pakistan have to think twice before praying for rain, because they know that the water will end up flooding the streets. Countries that invest in transportation and infrastructure have already established a working drainage system, but Pakistan is lagging behind. The thought of rain makes people take a day off from work, and those who don’t, end up spending hours in a traffic jam.
