ISLAMABAD Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal(PBM) in collaboration with singer Adnan Sami Khan has launched a campaign to persuade philanthropists to bear monthly expenses of orphans and to set precedent Adnan Sami Khan and Faryal Gohar announced to sponsor one child each. Under the campaign 'One philanthropist one orphan, a person has to take the responsibility to bear monthly expenses of each destitute child that is estimated monthly Rs6,000 and annual Rs72,000. Adnan also announced to conduct concerts to urge people to join hands with Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal in this noble cause. Adnan Sami visited Sweet Home Centre in Sihala, a project of Bait-ul-Mal under which various orphanages are established, to provide home like environment to destitute children. Advisor to Prime Minister on Social Welfare Shahnaz Wazir Ali, Actress turned social worker, Faryal Gohar, Chairperson of National Commission on Human Development (NCHD) Nafeesa Shah, Mehnaz Danyal, and Managing Director PBM Zamurd Khan were also present on the occasion. During the visit Adnan mixed up with the children and spent time with them conveying a message that orphans also deserved proper attention and respect. Adnan Sami Khan lauded the efforts of PBM for launching Sweet Homes Pakistan project and commented that there is no match of these centres. He asked the children never to consider themselves alone or helpless and advised them to work hard to establish their own identity. Addressing the gathering MD PBM Zamurd Khan said that under the project centres has been established throughout the county in which 15,000 children would be enrolled. He also requested the philanthropist and well off people to come forward in this sponsorship scheme. It is to be mentioned here that it was Adnan first visit to Pakistan with his wife Roya Farabi.
