LAHORE - Capital City Police Officer Ahmad Raza Tahir has confirmed the services of 1935 traffic wardens, a police spokesman said on Monday.
According to an official handout issued in this regard, the services of 1488 traffic wardens could not be confirmed due to their poor service record.
Meanwhile, the Citizen Feedback Cell provided remedy to 133 complainants during the month of March. According to a police spokesman, out of 133 complaints, at least 57 citizens were provided help by the Citizen Feedback Cell and their FIRs were got registered in the police station concerned as per law.
He further said that strict departmental action was also taken against SHO Shahdara Inspector Maqsood Ahmed, SHO Garden Town Inspector Waqar Ashraf Gondal, SHO Ichra Inspector Ahsan Ashraf Butt, SHO Sabzazar Inspector Hussnain Haider, SHO Sanda Inspector Muhammad Sharif, SHO Data Darbar Inspector Munawar Ahmed, SHO Factory Area Inspector Attique Ahmed, SHO Harbanspura Inspector Shahid Hussain, SHO Riawind City Inspector Mehmood Ahmed, SHO Iqbal Town Sub-Inspector Asim Rafi, SHO Nawankot Sub-Inspector Hussnain Farooq and SHO Samanabad Sub-Inspector Muhammad Asif.
