Minister claims 100pc uplift work


PESHAWAR - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance, Engineer Muhammad Hamayun Khan, on Monday formally inaugurated various developmental schemes worth Rs 60 million in Thana area of District Malakand. These schemes included WSS Srogatan, Palai Cheena, construction of IT Block and Hostel in Boys Degree College Thana and construction of IT Block and additional rooms in the Girls College Thana.
Addressing a public gathering on the occasion, the minister claimed that during his tenure as minister in the last four years, 100 per cent developmental work has been carried out in District Malakand as compared to that in the past. He added that he has served all the people of Malakand without taking into consideration any political affiliation and has provided to people the basic amenities of life at their doorstep.
Hamayun said that during the last four years besides four degree college, one polytechnic college and certain high schools, an institution for education and rehabilitation of handicapped persons has been established in distict Malakand which would help provide technical and higher education to the inhabitants of the area.
