PCB team carries out players fitness tests





LAHORE – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has started taking fitness tests of the national team players here at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) on Monday.
Head coach Dav Whatmore and the PCB medical team carried out the fitness tests. All the national team players were present during the fitness tests except Umar Akmal, M Hafeez and Saeed Ajmal who did not turn up due to some their personal problems. During the tests, the strength, agility and speed of the players were checked. Keeping in mind these tests, the players will be given individual schedule to keep them physically and mentally fit and strong. The head coach showed great interest in the fitness tests and observed each and every player keenly.  The players who have given the fitness tests were Misbahul Haq, Younus Khan, Shahid Afridi, Imran Farhat, Shoaib Malik, Wahab Riaz, Azhar Ali, Asad Shafiq, Taufeeq Umar, Adnan Akmal, Aizaz Cheema, Hammad Azam, Umar Gul, Sarfaraz Ahmad, Abdul Rehman and Nasir Jamshed.
