PPP’s Soomro welcomed with shoes

RATODERO - Former Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro had to face embracement when the people welcomed him hurling shoes and drain water on his vehicle in Lashari village the other day.
As per reports, the villagers were angry as the former provincial minister had not visited them even for a single time after being elected from the constituency in 2008 elections. Much to their frustration, Soomro had not even bothered to comfort them during the deadly heavy rains and flooding in 2010 and 2011.
Under the intension of election campaign, Soomro went to the village but the people expressed their reaction and welcomed him with shoes and drain water. Consequently, Soomro was left with no other option but to go back without meeting any political figure of the area.
The former minister had to face a similar situation in Banguldero where he was forced to leave the area without addressing a public meeting organised in connection with his election campaign.
Following the development, the PPP leadership held a meeting at Naudero House and decided to nominate Saifullah Abro as the next PPP candidate replacing Soomro. Abro, the founder of Sachal Ittehad, is a new entry in the PPP.
