The recent visit of Sri Lankan president and number of bilateral agreements is an appreciative achievement of the Government. Nurturing regional ties will strengthen Pakistan‘s status in the international arena. Both the countries signed deals in the fields of nuclear energy, disaster management and academic cooperation etc. Both the countries are vital members of SAARC which has the potential to play an effective, productive and promising role in regional and international politics. Better economic, social, political, and cultural cooperation among the SAARC countries will earn numerous dividends for the region. It is hoped that Pakistan’s Government will keep exploring beneficial avenues in its foreign policy so to acquire an inspiring status in the comity of nations.
