SIALKOT   -  Gujranwala Division Commissioner Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghman and RPO Rao Abdul Karim visited the Election Command and Control Center established at Daska for the NA-75 Sialkot-IV by-election to be held on Saturday. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sialkot Tahir Farooq and District Police Officer (DPO) Sialkot Abdul Ghaffar briefed the Commissioner and RPO. Commissioner Gujranwala Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghuman said that all the possible steps had been taken for the transparent, free and fair election. He said that no one will be allowed to influence the by-election process. Delivery of election material to all 360 polling stations was underway in this regard.

Meanwhile, on the direction of Election Commission of Pakistan, Deputy Commissioner Tahir Farooq has declared holiday for Saturday, April 10, 2021 in NA-75 Sialkot-IV on account of by-election.

All government offices including schools and colleges will remain closed in NA-75 Sialkot-IV Daska constituency. In this regard, the DC office has issued a notification here on Friday.  However a Police flag march was held here on Friday in connection with by-election in NA-75 Sialkot-IV Daska. According to the police spokesman, District Police Officer (DPO) Sialkot Abdul Ghaffar Qaisarani gave a detailed briefing to the officers and police personnel regarding security measures.

Strict security arrangements were made by the district police at 360 polling stations of NA-75 Sialkot-IV Daska where more than 4,000 police personnel and other security agencies will perform their duties.
