Electricity tariff hike putting heavy burden on masses, says Marri

KARACHI   -  Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Central Information Secretary and MNA Shazia Atta Marri said on Friday that an increase in the electricity tariff had been putting heavy burden on the pockets of masses.

“People are compelled to sell their household utensils for paying heavy electricity bills. Once Imran Khan Niazi said that he would commit suicide but would not prefer to go IMF for loans,” she said in a statement. Marri said in her statement that Imran Khan did not commit suicide but he was forcing the people to commit suicide due to increasing inflation in the country.

She further said that most of the decisions of country’s economy were being decided by the IMF due to incompetency of ruling government. She added that Imran Niazi’s ATM machines were actually the facilitators of IMF. She questioned from Imran Khan that where were his 200 expert economists who were behind the imposition of anti-masses policies. “Incompetent PM has become a burden on the country and people want get rid of his incompetent government,” she asserted.
