‘PPP does not want clash of institutions’

KARACHI  - Provincial Minister for Revenue, Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has said that the government does not want clash between the institutions but their strengthening.
Conspirators will never succeed against the government. This he said while talking to different delegations here in his office on Thursday.
He said that PPP had always respected the judiciary. All institutions should work within their limits.  It was the need of the hour that the state institutions  be strengthened for democracy. He said PPP has scarified a lot for the restoration and survival of the democracy.
Benazir Bhutto laid down her life for the purpose. PPP is the only political party that has given matchless sacrifices for the promotion of the democracy, he added. Jam Mehtab said that the other political parties should follow the footsteps of PPP for the promotion of the democracy in the country. Criticism for noting is not good for democracy, he said. The provincial minister said due to political reconciliation policy of President Asif Ali Zardari, the country is on the path of progress.
Political stability is in the country now and government is trying to overcome the energy crisis.  He directed the workers of PPP to participate in the works of public service so that the masses might get fruits of democracy.
Police arrest 25 accused in last 24 hours:  The Karachi police in their on-going drive against criminals, arrested 25 accused during the past 24 hours.
A police statement on Thursday said those arrested included three absconders.
It said there were two encounters with the police and and equal number of gangs of alleged criminals were busted during the period.
In all, 17 pistols, one dagger and eight mobile phones recovered from the possession of the accused, the police statement further pointed out.
