LAHORE - Taking a swipe at the unavailability of funds for universities across the country, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has blamed the federal government for ruining the education sector. A spokesman for the PML-N said the ill-advised federal government had sealed the fate of thousands of students doing doctorate inside and outside the country.

Threatening to launch protest inside and outside the Parliament if the government does not wake up to the issue, the spokesman said the halt to funds for higher education had created a chaotic situation.  “The federal government has blocked funds for higher education, though the present century is of knowledge and the future wars are going to be fought on the intellectual plain,” the PML-N spokesman said, regretting that the rulers had enough funds to embark on foreign tours.
