PR to fine passengers without tickets

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Railways has launched special campaign against the passengers travelling in trains without tickets. According to the spokesman, passengers found traveling without tickets would be imposed heavy fine and may also be handed over to police. The campaign has been launched to discourage people travelling without tickets and to enhance the revenue of Pakistan Railways.
The police personnel have been deployed at various railway stations in civil clothes to check those who are without tickets and recover fine from them on the spot.
Passengers have been advised to purchase tickets to avoid any inconvenience during their journey. The spokesman said railways staff would also check the quality of foodstuff being provided in dinning cars. “Strict action in accordance with the law would be taken against the railway employees also if they are found travelling without tickets and involved in over charging in reservation offices,” he added.
