Feeling the heat

With the PPP government, for five years, the country saw battles in Karachi and Islamabad, but now with the PML-N in power, the heat has moved to the Punjab and the people of Lahore are feeling the political heat. Marches, hold-ups, blocking areas and crowds holding banners and chanting have become the new stage for a culturally rich province.
As the mercury rises, so do the feelings of a volatile Punjab and Punjabis; they argue and take stands while understanding little and are unsure if there really will be any change after all this madness unfolds. Many want to believe that we deserve a change and that this is the time for it, but many have lost hope and can only pray for a better tomorrow for their coming generations.
