Rawalpindi - Rawalpindi Arts Council in collaboration with literary society Bazm-e-Arooj Adab arranged a condolence reference in memory of Col Younis Awan to pay tribute to his services in the field of welfare for humanity.

Chairman Pakistan Green Task Force Dr Jamal Nasir presided over the ceremony while Senior Executive Vice President Pakistan National Heart Association Dr Abdul Qayyum Awan was chief guest.

A large number of people including Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed and President Bazm-e-Arooj Adab Naeem Akram Qureshi were present on the occasion. Addressing at the ceremony, Dr Jamal Nasir said that the persons who serve humanity have special place in the heart of people. He added every Muslim serve the humanity by considering it worship than sorrows and worries can be changed into pleasures.

Dr Abdul Qayyum Awan threw light on the work and personality of Col Younis Awan and said future generation can follow the footprints of Col Younis to serve humanity.

President Bazm-e-Arooj Adab Naeem Akram Qureshi said that services of Col Younis Awan for humanity would be remembered forever.

Sheikh Mukhtar Ahmed, Gen Masood Kyani, Sheikh Shabir, Tanvir Zubairi, Rukhsana Nazi, Abdul Jalil, Tanvir Nusrat, Dr Anwar Naseem, Raja Abdul Qayyum, Gen Rehmat Ali, Saleem Ahmed, Muhammad Qasim, Hameeda Naz and other also addressed on the occasion.

Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed thanked all the participants at the end of the ceremony.
