SRIKOT (Haripur) - Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid Sunday said PTI chief Imran Khan, who invaded the Parliament terming it a 'fake one', was now begging votes for the same.

Addressing a public gathering here, he said it was the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman who had declared August 14, 2014 as black day.

On August 13 he left Lahore to invade the Parliament House in Islamabad.

Now he was in Haripur along with his family to get his party candidate elected for the same parliament, he added.

Pervaiz said it was irony that Imran Khan was asking the people of NA-19 to send his candidate to the same parliament, which he had attacked and termed it "fake".

He recalled that the people of Hazara had voted for Pakistan in 1947 referendum and on August 16 this year, they would vote for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML N).

It was on August 16 last year, the PTI workers invaded the Federal Capital and this year the people of Sri Kot would not vote for that party in revenge though they had forgiven the party, he added.

He said the people of Haripur would vote for the PML-N candidate, Babar Nawaz Khan, and every ballot box at every polling station would be filled with ballots with stamps on the symbol of "Tiger".

He said the PML-N was only political party which had courage to tell the truth to the masses. "We admit that people are facing many problems and their lives are not as good as they should be." However, the country had now been put on right track by the PML-N government, he added.

He said that cheap electricity and network of highways was needed for for progress and development. This would help industries flourish, while farmers would be able to transport their produce to markets in time.

Pervaiz Rashid said that the people of country, including NA-19, knew well that Pakistan would make progress when the PML N would be in power as only Nawaz Sharif could resolve the power crisis and establish a road network.

The people of Sri Kot would have to decide if they wanted to support those who had damaged the country through their 126-day sit in or the PML N which was striving to make Pakistan a regional economic power, he added.

He said the PTI leadership had asked for opening ballot boxes of only four constituencies but the government opened all the constituencies. "When ballot boxes were opened the PML-N candidates' votes further increased. Someone has said that "Tiger will emerge from all ballot boxes and on August 16 the same will occur and the PML-N will sweep the NA-19 bye elections."

He said the people's income could be enhanced by producing cheap electricity as it would flourish industry, besides generating employment opportunities.

"A road network should connect each and every village and town so that the people can transport their products to nearby markets easily, besides having an easy transport".

Such a Pakistan, he said, was the dream of Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif and that dream was nearing completion. With the provision of such facilities people would be provided best transport facilities, he added.

He said some 26 precious days were wasted by the PTI's container politics. "It is certain that the people will now vote for the builders of Pakistan and not the PTI, which had wasted the nation's precious time and resources."
