Qandeel Baloch’s murder in the name of honour is a heinous and unpardonable crime. It reflects a mindset under which women are seen as property. When men boast of having affairs with women, they are eulogised. All those men who raised an outcry when Qandeel’s photographs and videos appeared on the social media are responsible for her murder because they incited her brother to murder her. This country is only for men. Women either remain submissive or else they are put into their place. Women like Qandeel who show some possess some independence on their life are in grave danger here.
