A moderate earthquake jolted the different parts of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Friday morning. According to the Met Office, the quake hit at 4:17am local time and its intensity was 5.2 on Richter Scale. The epicenter of the quake was 64 kilometer east of Zhob, a district of Balochistan. The tremors were felt in different areas of Punjab and Khyber- Pakhtunkhwa including North Waziristan Agency, Dera Ismail Khan, Multan, Wihari and Dera Ghazi Khan. The residents of affected areas rushed out of their homes, despite the cold weather, following the tremors and started reciting Qurani verses. No casualty was reported in the affected areas.
