ISLAMABAD Chief Election Commissioner, Justice (Retd) Hamid Ali Mirza, on Thursday referred cases of three fake degree holder MPAs to the concerned DPOs for registration of criminal cases for their involvement in corrupt practices under Section 78(3)(d) of the Representation of the People Act, 1976. These lawmakers are: Farah Deba, MPA (PP-Reserved), Zahoor Hussain Khosa, ex-MPA (PB- 26), and Shoukat Aziz Bhatti, MPA (PP- 4). According to the ECP sources, these lawmakers have been proved guilty of holding bogus degrees after a thorough security. Meanwhile, the ECP and NADRA have signed an agreement on Thursday to finalise necessary steps for preparation of Computerised Electoral Rolls, ensuring its foolproof security, early legislation for declaring CNIC as mandatory for voter registration.
