LAHORE - Lahore Women thrashed Hyderabad by 168 runs in a fixture of the National Women Under-19 Twenty20 Cricket Championship match played here at the Lahore Country Club Muridke on Thursday. Batting first, Lahore Women piled up 193 for no loss in the allotted 20 overs. Sidra Amin scored a brilliant unbeaten 104 of 64 balls including 12 fours and equally supported by the other opener Sidra Nawaz 74 not with six four. In reply, Hyderabad Women were crashed out for just 25 runs in 17.5 overs. Faryal Gohar bowled superbly and claimed four wickets for seven runs while Bakhtawar took 2 for five and Namra Imran took two for 11 runs. Sidra Amin of Lahore was declared players of the match. In another match, Faisalabad defeated Abbottabad by 25 runs in the National Women Under-19 Twenty20 Cricket Championship 2010-11 at the Lahore Country Club Muridke here on Thursday. Faisalabad beat Abbottabad: Bartting first, Faisalabad women scored 124 for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted quota of overs. Reema cracked 51 of 53 balls with six four, followed by Zain Riaz 27 of 37 balls with two boundaries. Sania Shabbir 2/24 and Nayab 2/36 were the successful bowlers from Abbottabad. In reply, Abbottabad could manage 99 for seven wickets in the allotted overs. Sadia Farman scored unbeaten half century with four boundaries while Gul Pari 21,also played well. For Faisalabad, Marium Shafique was picking of the bowlers who chipped in with three wickets. Multan women beat Quetta: In another game played at the same venue, Multan Women defeated Quetta by 10 wickets on Thursday. Batting first, Quetta women could score just 35 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted over. Khair-un-Nisa was the only women to reach the double figure. For Multan, Sana Akbtar claimed four for 11 and Sana Gulzar took three wickets for just only one runs. Multan women team opener achieved the target easily in just four over. Sana Gulzar cracked 27 not out. Later, Sana Gulzar was declared player of the match. Peshawar score victory: In another game, Peshawar beat their opponents by 19 runs in the National Women U-19 Twenty20 at the same venue. Maleeha Kalsoom was declared player of the match for her good performance.
