PM urges strong trade ties with S.Africa

Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani Friday said Pakistan and South Africa should undertake concerted efforts on bilateral trade and economic cooperation particularly by focusing on higher exports of rice, fruits, agricultural products and pharmaceutical. The Prime Minister said a trade delegation from Pakistan would soon be visiting South Africa to explore the possibilities of increased exports in these areas from Pakistan. The Prime Minister was talking to Daniel Jabulani Mavimbela, out-going High Commissioner of the Republic of South Africa to Pakistan who paid a farewell call on him at the PM House this afternoon. The Prime Minister also underlined the need for enhanced cooperation between the two sides in mining, textiles, information technology and defence sectors.
