SUSAN Boyle has returned to the number one place on the Billboard charts with The Gift, knocking American rapper Kanye West off the top spot. Kanye spent just one week at number one on the album chart with My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy before being unseated by the Britains Got Talent star. Despite being released a month ago, SuBos The Gift is still flying off shelves, selling 272,000 copies last week. Her nearest rival Taylor Swift sold almost 100,000 less records, with 182,000 people picking up her offering last week. Jackie Evancho with O Holy Night and two offerings from the cast of the hit TV show Glee completed the top five, leaving Kanye languishing in seventh position having sold 108,000 copies. SuBo recently said that she would be interested in trying her hand at R&B, joking that she could attempt a collaboration with US star Rihanna. 'Ive got hard competition. But there are certain types of music that youre good at and certain types that youre not. 'I mean, would I be good at R&B? I suppose you never know, Susan said. But it would seem music lovers are much bigger fans of her ballads, as the 49-year-old left not only Kanye, but also Black Eyed Peas and Rihanna, in her wake in this weeks chart. Its thought the performance of The Gift means SuBo could now be worth 11 million. Metro
