FAISALABAD - The police claimed to have killed three alleged dacoits in two separate shootouts in different areas here on Sunday.

According to the police, five alleged dacoits were busy looting passengers on Rodala Road. In the meantime a police patrolling van reached the scene at which the outlaws opened fire on the vehicle.

Which was retaliated by the police, killing one of the dacoits instantly and four others managed to flee the scene. The police claimed that arms were also recovered from the dead dacoit. In another shootout in Jaranwala two dacoits were killed. According to the police, they saw two suspects and signalled them to stop but they instead fired gunshots. The police returned the fire as a result of which both the dacoits were on the spot. The police said that both the deceased were dacoits and had been involved in several robberies.
