LAHORE - District Coordination Officer Lahore Noorul Amin Mengal on Sunday took notice on complaints of citizens and directed all town administrators to take strict action against encroachments.
He said that no one would be allowed to setup encroachments on roads, footpaths, bazaars or other public places. “We are trying to provide best facilities to citizens at every cost and CDGL teams are working wholeheartedly in this regard,” DCO added. On the directions of DCO Lahore Administrator Data Gunj Buksh Town, Saira Umar and TMO DGBT M Arif operated against encroachments at Lakshmi Chowk, Haji Camp, and Mintgumri Road and captured 3 trucks of goods. The DCO admired the work of TMA DGBT.
Sunday bazaars: On the directions of the DCO, District Officer Monitoring Amin Akbar Chopra visited Johar Town, Model Town, Gulshan-e-Ravi, Wahdat Road and Shadman Sunday bazaars and checked the quality and rate of essential items. He imposed RS 13500 fine on a number of stallholders and cancelled 4 stalls on account of overcharging and selling substandard vegetables and fruits.
Sheesha crackdowns: Raids against sheesha cafes continued in the City on Sunday and on the directions of District Coordination Officer Noorul Amin Mengal, Senior Administrator Asfand Yar Baloch raided at Saady Resturant Gulberg, Jalsa Hut and Rauf top in Johar Town and confiscated 16 Huqas.
The DCO, in a press statement, said that no one would be allowed sheesha smoking in the city.
