KARACHI (PR) – The convocation, one of the most prestigious and important events on the IBA calendar, recognised the achievements of graduating students. Nisar Ahmed Khoro, Speaker of Sindh Assembly was the chief guest.

He praised the reliability of the high standard of IBA that had successfully produced exceptional students who are given recognition at home and abroad.

Dr Ishrat Husain, the Dean and Director IBA declared 2012 “A year of Infrastructural Development and International Linkages” — the best in his four-and-half year tenure at IBA that rooted successful culmination of a series of initiatives forming part of the multi prong IBA Strategy which was adopted in 2008 to achieve the ambition of becoming the leading business school in Asia and in the world. A total of 445 students were conferred degrees this year including 69pc male and 31pc female graduated under various Bachelors and Masters’ Programs including 49 Executive MBA students. This year the first batch of MBA students with 2 year postgrad experience has gone into the market.
