ISLAMABAD - The National Assembly and the Senate begin their sittings at the Parliament House on Monday to debate important issues facing the country including deteriorating law and order situation.

The sessions of the two Houses are likely to be stormy as the Opposition is expected to press for the announcement of elections date, appointment of caretaker Prime Minister as well as checking of voters lists in all parts of the country. The Government is also expected to bring in the new Accountability Bill during the session, which the Opposition PML-N is strongly opposing.

The Opposition party is opposed to the bill in its present form and has directed the members to ensure their presence in both the Houses.

The PML-N wants an independent Accountability Commission headed by a serving judge of the Supreme Court.
