QUETTA - Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Mir Wali Muhammad Badini died of cardiac arrest on Sunday.

His funeral prayer was offered in his native town Nushki which was attended by a large number of tribal elders, politicians and provincial and federal officers. Mir Wali Muhammad Badini had been in politics since 1970 and last time he became senator on PPP ticket and later became chairman of Senate Standing Committee for Communication and Works.

APP adds:  Senator Wali Badini, founder of renowned construction firm Rakhshani Construction Company, had been elected as member of Upper House after 2002 general elections with the backing of Pakistan Muslim League (Q).  Later, he joined PPP and was again elected as senator.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari have expressed their profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Mir Wali Badinin. In their condolence messages, they lauded his services for the province and the country in his various capacities and expressed their sympathies with the bereaved family.

They prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
