HAFIZABAD - A citizen in Madina Colony was deprived of bike while three shopkeepers in Gali Masjid Bilalwali were robbed of cash and other valuables here on Sunday.
According to police source, Fazal Ahmad parked his bike HZ-6366 outside his residence in Madina Colony which was lifted way by some unidentified thief.
Similarly, some unidentified burglars broken into the shops owned by Muhammad Amjad, Sajid Ali and Mubashar in Gali Masjid Bilalwali the other night and made off with Rs30,000 and other valuables.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Nawaz, a vegetable vendor of Mangat Neecha was deprived of Rs8000 and cellphone by two armed bandits near Head Sagar. According to Nawaz the armed bandits also snatched away cash and cellphones from three other villagers at the same spot.
The police are investigating.
On the other hand the citizens have expressed great concern over the rising incidents of dacoities and robberies and demanded the DPO to take notice of the situation.
