GUJRANWALA-Federal Minister for Defence Khurram Dastgir Khan said that the government had steered the country out of national crises like loadshedding and terrorism.
Addressing the annual convocation of Government Post Girls Graduate College Gujranwala, he urged the national youth to help the government further improve the education and overcome the other problems being faced by Pakistan.
Criticism against the government by the opposition could not be helpful to ensure prosperity and development in the country, he said. He added that the big change in education sector is one of the evidence of the government’s achievements.
He further said, “We should ask ourselves every day what we have done for our country. The passage of 2013 was not long enough when there were many explosions and the entire country was surrounded by darkness. But due to solid steps of the government, peace has been again established in the country.”
The minister lauded the achievements of the college and congratulated the successful students. Principal Amira Cheema presented recalled the college's achievements.
ANTI-CORRUPTION DAY: Commissioner M Asif said that all the sections of the society will be combined with the government to eliminate the corruption from the country.
He was addressing a seminar arranged in connection with World Anti-Corruption Day at Gift University Gujranwala. He said that the purpose of marking the day was to create awareness of the people about corruption. He said that the Punjab government had promoted corruption-free culture in the province and for the complete end to corruption all the sections of society have to struggle together with the government.
Regional Director Anti-corruption Fareed Ahmed said that according to government policy all the government institutions are being inspected. Due to anti corruption measures, Anti-Corruption Establishment has great achievements to reduce the corruption in government departments, he said. At the end of the seminar, a rally was also held.
RPO Ashfaq Khan, RD anti corruption Fareed Ahmed, MPAs Abdul Rauf Mughal, Ch Muhammad Iqbal, Taufiq Butt, chairman gift university Anwar Dar and officers of other departments were participated in the seminar.
