MIRPURKHAS/SHIKARPUR : Members of Sindh Action Committee and other nationalist parties observed a token hunger strike here on Saturday to protest against the entry of outsiders in Sindh, providing them National Identity Cards (NICs), irregularities in census and religious extremism.
Those who participated in the strike included Dr Rasool Bux Khaskheli of Awami Tehreek, Idrees Chandio, deputy general secretary of Sindh united party, divisional president Manzoor Memon, district president Muhammad Khan Marri, district president Sindh tarraqi passand Party Muhammad Younus Talpure, district president of Awami Tehreek Majeed Bughio, Arbab Nohani of QAT, Ubaid Banglani of JSQM (Basheer Khan), Jahangeer Panhwer of JSQM (Arisar group), Abid Kori, Ghulam Mustafa Leghari, Wajid Leghari, Radha Bheel, Sher Muhammad Solangi, Faqeer Qaiser Marri Advocate and others.
Responding to the call given by Sindh Action Committee, Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz [JSQM], Sindh United Party [SUP], Qaumi Awami Tehreek [QAT] and Jeay Sindh Mahaz [JSM] chapter Shikarpur set up a hunger strike camp against the settlement of non-natives in Sindh in front of Shikarpur Press Club on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, leaders including Abdus Sami Bilali, Abdul Haleem Mahar, Abid Hydri, Zahid Bhanbhro, Sharif Qureshi, Abdul Ghaffar Bhatti, Abdul Haque Sunhdro, Islam Luhar, Asadullah Soomro and others termed the settlement of non-natives a conspiracy hatched by the rulers against Sindh
