More than 150 govts to adopt UN migration pact

More than 150 countries will join a United Nations conference in Morocco in July next year, to adopt a global pact to better handle migrant flows.

According to UN Special Representative for International Migration Louise Arbour, more than 150 governments have already registered for the event.

In July this year, all 193 UN members except the United States had finalized the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration for better handling of migration across the world which was then objected by European politicians, who say it could increase immigration.
