What a drubbing

Pakistan suffered an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Sri Lanka in the 3rd ODI. Sri Lanka bowled out Pakistan at a shamefully meager total of just 75 runs. This is Pakistan's fourth lowest score in One-day International cricket. This is also the lowest by any team at the Gaddafi Stadium. There are many causes of this defeat. Many crucial catches were put down; some of our bowlers performed below par never looking fit or in rhythm. Batsmen looked rusty and leaden-footed. The team management one again went into experiment mode in this match and shuffled the batting order completely. The Sri Lankans did not change their batting order once in the series despite having been defeated in the 1st ODI. As a Pakistani, I am very disappointed today because of the shameful manner in which we lost and request the PCB officials to take corrective measures to improve our cricket. -MUDASSAR SHAHID, Lahore, via e-mail, January 25.
