rawalpindi - The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) recovered 118-kg drugs in four countrywide raids against drug mafia and arrested six smugglers.

The raids were carried out against drug mafia in Rawalpindi, DI Khan, Peshawar and Karachi during which Anti-Narcotics Force recovered 11.4-kg heroin and 107-kg hashish, while rounded-up 6 persons on drug charges and impounded a vehicle. Most of the recovered drugs was intended for local use, informed ANF spokesman yesterday.

According to him, the Anti-Narcotics Force Rawalpindi captured a mini truck near Tarnol and found 4 kilograms heroin and 6 kilograms hashish during a course of search.

Two persons Alam Zeb and Rizwan were arrested on the occasion.

The other arrests were made in Dera Ismael Khan, Peshawar and Karachi. Separate cases have been registered against the accused drug peddlers, the spokesman informed.
