Tevta to start Chinese language courses

LAHORE (PR): Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) has decided to start Chinese Language course in other cities of the province of the Punjab. Thethree months duration courses will be launched at Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Sialkot. Currently, TEVTA is managing three months duration Chinese Language Course for general public while 4 moths duration course for executive and business community at Lahore. It was stated by Chairperson TEVTA IrfanQaiser Sheikh while reviewing the progress of Chinese Language Course. Chief Operating Officer Jawad Ahmed Qureshiand other officers were also present on the occasion.

IrfanQaiser Sheikh said that more than 500 have completed the three months duration courses while first group of four months executive courses will be completed in April this year. Executive Course has been started at Govt. Technical Training Institute Gulberg while general language course at Govt. College of Technology Railway Road and Govt. Technical Training institute Gulberg. The capacity of each class is 50 students.

Chairperson TEVTA further said that people from other cities were contacting to start Chinese Language Course at their cities. In order to cater the said demand, TEVTA is starting this course in other cities.This course will also be helpful for the Pakistani youth who may intend to get job in Chinese Companies working in Pakistan and employment in China. Purpose to start this language program of other cities is to make the already trained skilled labor force of Pakistan more acceptable in the Chinese marketHe was confident that Pakistan can attract Chinese manufacturing sector by developing a trained workforce for industries all over the world..

Bosch inaugurates office

LAHORE (PR): Bosch, a leading global supplier of technology and services, has inaugurated its first office in Pakistan. Expanding the Bosch Group’s operations in the region, the office based in Lahore in Punjab will at the start serve as the liaison office for the company’s Automotive Aftermarket, Power Tools and Security Systems business divisions.

Ina Lepel, German Ambassador to Pakistan, attended the inauguration ceremony. Senior Bosch executives including Steven Young, President, Bosch Turkey and Middle East andVolker Bischoff, General Manager of Robert Bosch Middle East attended the event.

OPPO has no plans to hire a distributor

Kids carnival

LAHORE (PR): Lahore’s Favorite Mall Fortress Square organised a 5-day long fun filled event with unlimited amusement& entertainment. The biggest part of the event was a kiddy car racing, first time in Pakistan, Fortress Square presented a junior car racing competition for the little champs where winner got a free kiddy car worth Rs. 25000. There was plenty of non-stop roving entertainment featuring puppet shows, magic shows, tall man and juggling performances by Rafi Peer. ISLAMABAD (PR): Building on the idea that Pakistan was envisaged as an inclusive and modern state by Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Yasser Latif Hamdani in his book “Between Worlds; A Pakistani’s quest to forge meaning” argues that a Pakistan that does not safeguard its minorities and gives them equal rights as citizens is not a Pakistan worth having. The author, a columnist in the national press and lawyer by profession, was in conversation with Saroop Ijaz, a well known columnist and lawyer.

Yasser Latif Hamdani said historically there is no factual basis for the claim that Pakistan was created in the name of Islam. “Pakistan is for all Pakistanis, not just Muslims.” Answering a question, Hamdani said that it is a great tragedy that the parliament of Pakistan had taken upon itself to determine who was a Muslim and who was a Non-Muslim.
