SHEIKHUPURA: Relatives of a youth, who was allegedly killed due to police torture, staged a protest at Sheikhupura Road today.

The 21-year-old Ali Raza was allegedly badly beaten by a policeman after he was taken into custody from his house in Ferozwala. He was shifted to Allied Hospital in critical condition, where he succumbed to injuries.

The doctors stated that the ‘brutal torture’ had broken Ali Raza’s both legs and affected his liver. The bereaved family protested by putting his body on the road for several hours.

Meanwhile, Station House Officer (SHO) Khizar Hayyat Bhatti said that the boy was nabbed by Sub-inspector Latif and no other official was involved in the incident.
